Professor Patrick Leman
Professor Leman is the Head of Department of Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London and a Founder of White Water Writers. He is an experienced developmental and educational psychologist and has published considerable research in his field including a publication into the psychological benefits of this project. Prof. Leman provides strategic leadership and over-sees the operational side of the programme at Royal Holloway.
Dr. Joe Reddington
Dr. Joe Reddington is an established Computer Scientist, a Founder of White Water Writers and was involved in the original creation of the project. He developed the unique online writing software that the project uses. He is responsible for the training of student volunteers, updating training documentation and manuals and managing the software during the writing camps. Outside of White Water Writers, Dr. Reddington is currently involved in developing his own socially-focused charity.
Dr. Yvonne Skipper
Dr. Yvonne Skipper is a lecturer of Psychology based at Keele University. She is also a Founder of the project and has conducted academic research with Professor Leman into the educational and psychological benefits of White Water Writers. Yvonne is responsible for managing the delivery of the project at Keele University.
Dr. Douglas Cowie
Dr Cowie is a teaching-focused Senior Lecturer in the English department at Royal Holloway, University of London. He is also an established author. Dr. Cowie is also a Founder of White Water Writers and worked with Dr. Reddington on the original creation of the project contributing largely towards the story-writing elements of the programme.
